Let’s get real for a sec—growth isn’t exactly easy, is it? It’s messy, awkward, and often comes
with a side of bubble guts (trust me, I know). The truth is, if you’re feeling uncomfortable,
you’re probably right where you need to be.
If you caught my recent IG Stories, you probably saw me talking about getting ready for an
interview. Yep, I was nervous. And let me tell you, my nerves were in full swing. If you missed
it, don’t worry, here’s the replay!
Now, I get it—stepping into discomfort is no one’s favorite thing. Whether it’s a new
opportunity, saying “yes” to something you’re not quite ready for, or tackling that thing you’ve
been avoiding (hi, interviews!), it’s hard. But here’s the thing: discomfort is where the magic
happens.
As much as I’d love for success to be all about feeling cozy and confident 24/7, it’s not. Steve
Harvey says it best:
“Success is not a comfortable procedure. You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable.”
And he’s 100% right. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone not only opens doors to new
opportunities, but it also teaches you a lot about yourself. You learn your limits (and how to push
past them), you develop grit, and you become better equipped to handle whatever life throws at
you.
Let me be the first to tell you—I’ve been there. When I sat down for that interview I mentioned
earlier, I felt like I was straight out of an Eminem song—you know the one. “Palms sweaty,
knees weak, arms heavy…” It was like I was starring in Lose Yourself, minus the rap battle
(Thank God!).
But here’s the deal: just like in the song, sometimes you only get one shot, and you’ve gotta take
it. Even when your nerves are on overdrive and you feel like running the other way, pushing
through that discomfort can be the thing that unlocks the next level for you.
I’ve learned this over and over again as a business owner—growth requires me to get
comfortable with being uncomfortable. Every. Single. Time.
What Are You Avoiding?
Whatever it is, I’m here to tell you—you can do it. And it all starts with ripping off the band-aid
and just going for it. No more waiting for the “perfect” moment. LFG—let’s go crush it!
Now, let me hit you with a little real talk: those nerves you feel? That tightness in your chest?
That’s your body telling you you’re about to level up. When we feel the most uncomfortable, it’s
because we’re stepping into something bigger than we’re used to. And that’s exactly how we
grow.
Here’s the thing—if you always stay in your safe zone, you’ll never know what you’re capable
of. Growth happens when you push past the comfort, past the fear, and into new territory. And
believe me, once you’re on the other side, you’ll look back and be so proud of how far you’ve
come.

Whatever it is, just know that you’ve got this. You’re capable of more than you realize, and
sometimes all it takes is a little leap of faith to see just how strong you are.
Listen, I’m cheering for you all the way. Growth isn’t easy, but it’s so worth it. And if you need
a space to make that next bold move—whether it’s filming content, shooting your next
campaign, or mapping out a brand new project—you know where to find me.
Magnolia Content Studios is always here, ready to be your creative playground as you take that
next step. Let’s get uncomfortable together and see where it takes us!
