The Blog

Always in the Views, Never in the Likes

There’s a certain type of person on social media that most of us have noticed.

They watch everything.

Every story, every post, every update.

They’re always in the views, but never in the likes.

If you’re being honest, you’ve probably clocked it before. You post something you feel good about, and there they are—watching, keeping up—but not engaging in any visible way.

And for a moment, it can get in your head. You start wondering if they don’t like it, if something feels off, or if your content just isn’t landing.

It’s easy to assume that silence means disinterest.

But over time, I’ve realized that’s not always true.

Not everyone shows support the same way.

Some people are loud about it. They like everything, comment, and make sure you know they’re in your corner. That kind of support is easy to recognize.

But then there are the quieter ones. The ones who don’t engage publicly but are still paying attention. They’re watching your growth, noticing your consistency, and keeping up with what you’re building.

And sometimes, those are the people who surprise you the most.

They’re the ones who refer your name in a room you’re not in. The ones who reach out months later ready to work. The ones who say, “I’ve been watching you for a while now.”

That’s when it clicks.

They were never disengaged—they were just quiet.

It doesn’t mean your content isn’t working. It doesn’t mean people aren’t paying attention. It just means not everyone expresses support the same way.

So if you’ve ever found yourself questioning it, don’t.

Keep showing up. Keep sharing. Keep building.

Because more people are watching than you realize—and when you stay consistent, that quiet attention turns into something.
